Really stupid question (you should be used to these from my by now)

So.. going on about Diesel in the other thread.. whenever I hear this vile sounding word it always brings a point to mind...
Vin Diesel. You know.. the bald hard guy actor from the USA...
Then there are other people with the name Diesel too...

So here's the really stupid question
Would anyone ever call their kid unleaded or petrol or 4star or kerosine.... ? Undoubtedly no.. but why? Why is Diesel acceptable for a name>  Huh
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

You can splash petrol over your face to, did that last year when I took my mower's carb apart and dropped the bowl spraying it over my face, the worst part was it was rancid petrol from being disused for years... Shocked

Re: Really stupid question (you should be used to these from my by now)

I had [etrol sprayed in my eyes a few years back. Damn fuel hose slipped off while the engine was cranking and i had my head in the engine bay.
Stupid thing is it happened to my mate the week before too. I thought i'd fixed the damn thing but clearly not.

Re: Really stupid question (you should be used to these from my by now)

I bought an old A55 van for £125 (rip-off) I soon discovered the metal petrol pipe had broken and repaired with a pipe of orange rubber bunsen tube. The chose to break again in the middle of Snowdonia.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

That reminded me of when my Dad went with me to look at a car. With the engine running he leaned over and removed the oil filler cap to see if it was smoky and got a face covered in oil spots for his trouble.
I had to explain to him that it was one of those new fangled overhead cam engines.
