Re: New Fibre below expectations

I know oldjim, I just proud to be part of FTTC/Cable bonding together for a true maximum throughput speed. Quicker to downloading and uploading. Might consider 2 x 80/20 FTTC plus 1 x 100/10 Cable to get a possible 260/50

I fail to see what this thread has to do with 'help & support'?

Re: New Fibre below expectations (Split)

Looking at doing this myself, although i think i may bond my PN to Sky fibre, 40/20 which should give me a combined of around 100MB.

Re: New Fibre below expectations (Split)

Just curious - why would anyone need speeds as high as this? Huh

No it won't, you will get increase speeds for multiple users but for a single download stream you will see no benefit.

It's the modern equivalent of boys showing off in the showers after school sports.

Re: New Fibre below expectations (Split)

As someone who designs trading room infrastructure I can understand the need for low latency high speed links to a remote/home office for video conferencing etc, but ...

Re: New Fibre below expectations (Split)

That is whats its kinda for.
We dont have Virgin enabled in our area so this is the only way i can get decent speeds.
TBH, i thought my estimated speed with PN would be enough, however, during the evenings it's appalling so hopefully this will go some way to rectify the issue.
And yes, mine is certainly bigger than yours.
