Rain...Rain...Rain

I've recorded 30.7mm of rain today and it's still raining.

The maximum temperature today of 14.3C is disappointing.

It's August for goodness sake and Autumn is just around the corner.

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

It gives me an excuse not to do the garden, not to put washing out to dry, not to take next doors dog for walkies....

but on the up-side it's perfect weather for fishing. After all, it could be worse, that 30mm could be snow come mid September. Cool smiley

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

Just think of all those countries in europe that would give anything to have the amount of rain we are getting....no forest fires here or tempatures at 40 +

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

When we had that really hot spell I was convinced we were in for a long hot dry summer stretching well into autumn.

Now I'm convinced we've just had a very short summer..Sad

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

It's Brexit causing it. The UK is monopolising the rain, while the rest of Europe is stealing our sun.

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

Actually we've stolen their rain.

If they want it back they will have to meet our terms at the negotiation table.

@billnotben

Now you've done it. You just admitted to the theft of their rain. Not a chance of it being negotiated now. Shocked It'll take some serious haggling to sort it out now.

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

If they start haggling over the quantities involved, I have the evidence.

Re: Rain...Rain...Rain

@Strat  Would I be correct in assuming you're using a 'personal weather station'?  If so would you mind providing a link to the one you use please?

I looked at weather stations a year or two ago and couldn't convince myself that the ones I was looking at would stand up to the high coastal winds we often experience, particularly after seeing one along the road wobbling on its mounting.  Also some didn't even seem weatherproof!

Price would also be a factor of course.
