Price of concert tickets

My daughter wanted tickets to see Justine Bieber at the O2 Arena, London as part of her 18 birthday present next year. On investigating I found that the lowest price was £155 each Shocked
That's over £300 for two tickets!
I also noted that Status Quo were doing some gigs. As my mum still likes them and hasn't seen them for years I checked out their prices... over £50 each inc booking fee! No way.
How can they justify such steep prices?
Obviously they can as people do buy them Undecided

Re: Price of concert tickets

Just looking through my dairy, last concert I went to see was Dire Straights at the Sheffield Arena (August 1991), can't remember the cost of a ticket.
Wonder how much of todays the ticket charge goes to the artists?
