Power to the People

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is designed to clear up the confusion that currently means retailers get away with selling products that break or do not work as claimed.
30-day refunds now guaranteed for items that are faulty in move described as biggest reform to consumers' rights in a generation, including cars.
It also gives better protection for shoppers where a product fails more than 30 days but less than six months after purchase.

Re: Power to the People

Is it better?
Before the change you could get a refund for faulty goods in a reasonable time now it's 30 days.

Re: Power to the People

well class actions will be fun given the way several companies clearly do price fix, (utilities, phone, petrol, groceries etc) in fact some of them have even been caught and given rather pointless small fines over it in the past but how does a consumer prove the prices are fixed when the regulators cant figure it out ......
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Re: Power to the People

And what's the betting some staff will still try it on with customers despite this change in the Law.
One thing mentioned on the news is that it included software that might damage a users computer, anyone have further details about this ?
