Who can post on these forums?
If I decide to leave the forums, can I still post a query whether relating to my Plus Net account or the world in general?

Leave? Leave? ?
Can't be done apparently.
Congratulations. You have found your way to the Hotel California of the Internet.

There is no link from these Forums back to the Plusnet portal system. Plusnet have an open door policy to all now on the forums.
So you can continue using these forums for as long as you wish. (assuming you don't break the forum rules)

Thank you!
It was more for clarification than a desire to leave.
Separately, why is there this "Open Door" policy on postings to all?

maybe all the inane drivel and spam that will get posted will drown out all the posts about customer service being non-existent?

Technically the new forum (it has changed a bit just in case you missed it ) is outsourced (the hardware and underlying software are hosted and created by a company called Lithium). If you look hard at the SSL certificate you will see it is shared with other companies for their forums too.
So Plusnet apply a thin skin to the product but it is hosted elsewhere. And Plusnet cannot change the fundamentals of the product so no links back to their own accounting systems (currently they say but I think it will stay that way). Plusnet wanted a low maintenance forum with someone else doing the heavy lifting.
So this is what you see.

This is quite a tight and heavily moderated community it seems to me and one which dare I say it has a rather puritan streak - even the word [-Censored-] is not allowed. One does wonder how much variation it would get if it was open to plusnet account holders only. I cannot think of another company forum that has a closed door policy to be honest and perhaps for that reason?
Just a thought.
That was [-Censored-] by the way, nothing really naughty!

Point taken about those rules Mike (Mav) but if [-Censored-] is 'swearing' then the rules need to be changed?
Maybe we should all start wearing capotain hats like those puritans of old.... or just leave a club that has rules we do not agree with, but then how would matters ever change.
New topic for discussion obviously so on my part at least I'll end it here.

Regarding the swear filter - I can't be sure but I don't see much difference between this forum and the old one and the word referred to earlier (since removed by a Mod) was in the old swear filter as well
