Re: Post Brexit

National flags being removed from desks in the EU parliament by order of the President.

Who said the EU has plans to turn itself into a supra national Franco-German axis... err, we did.

Thank the Gods we are leaving and not a moment to soon.

All the reasons for leaving the EU are in this Douglas Murray interview video,  a bit long at

almost 50 minutes but the first 20 deal with 'The Death of the EU' - the rest is interesting for

anyone who is wondering if the world really is going mad,  and the answer is yes.....

Interesting certainly and little to argue against as we know don't we, that in supporting what Murray is saying there gets us shouted down as racists, bigots and uninformed when we are most certainly not - which of course was the Bremainer argument along with those self same insults from the uber liberal left.

We must all accept and embrace change, but not one that is imposed seemingly overnight and in such a way as to dare us to not only object but question for fear of being a target of abuse and ridicule.

Emperors new clothes anyone?

Interesting as well the point about wars between religions being replaced by wars between nation states as now they seem to have combined.

Haven't we being saying that all along?  Thumbs_Up

Well Brexiters realised that of course, whilst @RobC and the gang of foot-dragging remoaning nay-sayers spouted doom and gloom and went along with the treacherous petulant politicians, clutching at every straw.  Sad Angry

https://expressinformer.com/jeremy-corbyn-nominates-john-bercow-for-peerage/

In a final kick in the teeth for democracy Magic Grandpa Corbyn nominates poison

dwarf bercow for peerage, despite his bullying and tearing up the rulebook it

seems Comrade Corbyn thinks bercow deserves to be a Lordship,  still hopefully

HoL won't be there much longer,  or at least severely reduced in number.

Re: Post Brexit

Love the comment from that link tweeted by Jewish Labour Movement that "Corbyn is using his final weeks to reward failure" - which is ironic given his own disastrous failures as leader.

No doubt the pendelum will swing back post Boris when the new generation comes of age and as Niall Fergsuon in 'The Spectator' puts it "It will be in the second half of the decade that the Great Awokening starts delivering electorial victories to the left"

As said, this is one shot Boris time and much will change not least of all  seeing us untangled from the EU but to paraphrase from the above, I'll be nearly 80 and Greta Thornburger will be 26.

Re: Post Brexit

@wotsup

Just got around to watching that video link you gave in wednesdays post.

A lot of interesting points made and food for thought.

Quite a worry that despite what a individual may think few are brave enough to speak up and say what they really think, most people will consider their family comes before anything else and to speak out in today's society is only inviting trouble with the possible chance of losing their job and the problems that go with that.

My only problem with Brexit is that it may have come too late....should have been done 10 or more years ago.

I like Douglas Murrays quote 'we no longer have a cultural immune system'  and he also feels that higher education is now a 'brainwashing experience by the liberals that a lot of students will never recover from' ( in other words the longer people spend in the education system the more their thinking becomes the same' - which is quite the opposite of our view that higher / university education supplies society with free thinkers....

Re: Post Brexit

@wotsup

Have to confess I have thought that for a long time, I do not have any degrees but attended university for several short term courses and it became clear to me that those who had gained a degree in certain topics and spent the rest of their time at university lived in a different world to most people.

Of course many universities were created overnight, they used to be called poly techs or similar so we now have a situation where almost every young person has a degree plus a lot of debt, possibly no job and depending on the course undertaken may have there head full daft ideas which will prevent them progressing anywhere.

Re: Post Brexit

Strange that remainers ( are we still allowed to use that word ? ) said businesses would be moving AWAY from London after B____T --- seem to be moving the other way...... another P_J__T  F__R  suppository supposition bites the dust, another dud bullet in their machine gun of duds that they sprayed around before and after 2016 vote.
