Post Boxes

On Tuesday a courier knocked on my door and left me a Jiffy bag.

Inside the bag was a mains adaptor and as I hadn't ordered anything I was puzzled.

Checking in the bag once more I spotted a piece of paper in the bottom which identified itself as from Npower.

I have smart meters with a mains powered display and apparently the power adaptor for this display could be faulty.

Npower had sent me a replacement and included a post paid bag for me to return my old one.

I placed my old adaptor in the returns bag, sealed it and took it to the nearest post box.

Unfortunately, try as I might I couldn't get the bag in the post box, the opening was just too small.

This evening I had cause to pass another post box and gave it a try....no luck.

I gather from reading a little that there appears to be two main sizes of post box, standard for average mail traffic areas and large for high mail traffic areas, the aperture of each being sized appropriately.

Tomorrow I will visit my local post office and hand it in there for delivery.

You're not under any obligation to do that Strat, I'd have simply binned it. Why should they demand you spend your time dealing with their blunders? Mind you i suppose you could always enclose an invoice for the hassle...

Re: Post Boxes

Caring company that Npower is they probably want it back so I don't go and use it and burn my house down.

Re: Post Boxes

That doesn't matter, you're still under no obligation to put yourself out for them.
