Portsmouth kite festival

This is what I was up to over the bank holiday - I was flying the green one.

Yeah... usually great fun to watch all the kites "hovering" around in the sky..... I like to watch the stunt kite displays.... amazing how they don`t get the wires tangled up with all the swooping about...
A great FREE festival, for Portsmouth residents.... and the visitors who come on Bank Holiday weekend....  There are quite a few "festivals" held on Southsea Common during the summer months... another one is the big VW BUG meeting, where hundreds of variations of the VW congregate on the common..... A smaller festival is the THAI FOOD FESTIVAL  held next to Southsea Castle... all manner of THAI FOOD is on sale from about 100 tents... and a stage show of Music and Dance..... Free to wander about and watch the show....

I couldn't find the exchange rate for tent to GBP so don't know if it's good value for money Wink
