What if only 100 people existed on earth

Not that many people over 65 after all.
With all the gumph in the news about an ageing population I was expecting a lot more.

but if you look at the numbers in detail
over 65 Europe about 20% http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/Population_structure_and_ageing
over 65 China about 10% http://www.indexmundi.com/china/age_structure.html
over 65 India about 5% http://censusindia.gov.in/Census_And_You/age_structure_and_marital_status.aspx

Yes we are lucky here.
The aged are not led into the wilderness and left there.
Not yet anyway.

We'd better advertise for some working age immigrants to settle in the UK.
I'm concerned about who is going to pay for my pension.

According to this, the UK is 24th in the world, with Japan in at number one with 26% - so the answer is obvious. Eat more fish.
Had trout, and beans from the garden for tea earlier

Because immigrants don't age, or are you proposing a kind of Ponzi scheme?

amazingly the exact same one that the house frau already started along with others, the entire EU is geared around enacting a giant Ponzi scam although it will first require getting rid of the old and infirm and half the working remaining populations as well (ideally brought about through social unrest to ensure only group thinkers remain)... but yes they will require a never ending stream of working age young from the developing world (which given how long its been called that you would think they would of been able to achieve developed status by now, were it not for being artificially kept in the dark ages by various western power blocks )

@Minivanman Not news at all, it's long been known that women remain at the age of 29 for a good 20 years!
@nanotm How many of those of "working age" actually work?

not as many as could be, if there are jobs around that need people then cutting off the never ending supply of cheap labour will increase the wages on offer, simultaneously enacting slash n burn policies on welfare for everyone who isn't disabled will also encourage folks to work
and once you have the majority in work there is no longer a problem, if you also enforce retirement at a statutory age point and don't permit oap's to steal jobs from the young you will also see less wage compression and a higher general quality of life for everyone not least of which will be the oap's who can have a higher pension because there are enough youngsters in work paying taxes....
but since the civil service is in charge of making brexit happen we wont be getting anything better just further descent into some dystopian hell where the bourgeois nouveau riche elite sit in their ivory towers and keep the proletariat stuck in the mud, and of course it wont matter how many elections we have or how we vote because they will be safely enshrined in their seat of power over the water and send out the storm troopers every time there's any uproar about how bad things have gotten .... and how much better the world was before the EU killed it

It's not all bad news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40644850
The gap between the richest and poorest households has narrowed since 2008, especially in London, although London is still the most unequal region in the UK.
Not that I've noticed.
