Quote from: techguy
Well when you've had stuff like JFK's assassination and organisations such as the CIA what can you expect.
Mind you, I wouldn't put such things beyond our own government.
As Ian Richardson's character, Frances Urquhart said in House of Cards "you might think that, but I could not possibly comment"

I don't think there's any conspiracy here techguy, a genuine accident with a good outcome.  However, JFK may be a different thing.  I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I am not convinced JFK was killed by a lone assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald.  If you study the Zebruda film there is no way it was down to one man.  Who killed JFK?  I don't know.  Could have been the FBI, the Military or the Mafia.  I don't think we will ever know.

Re: Plane Down in Hudson River

I studied the JFK assassination as part of the history syllabus when I was at school and personally I think it was the CIA but of course they attempted to make it look like Oswald did it.
As regards my comments I do think this plane crash was an accident yes but it does not suprise that your American friends think otherwise.
Indeed there's the conspiracy theory that says the twin towers were brought down by the governemt to justify a planned military operation in Afghanistan but I don't believe that either.

Re: Plane Down in Hudson River

Yes it did, and that's gives me quite a lot of comfort knowing that. I think some of the damage will have been caused by the ferries and tugs during the rescue.

Re: Plane Down in Hudson River

A320 series Airbuses seem to have a better safety record than 737's ?
