Re: Petrol Tuts!

Well I've drastically cut my driving since leaving my job. Now I feel guilty for going to the supermarket because petrol is becoming so steep. It's a joke now.
The country is in the biggest mess its ever been, no defences left, no public services of any decent standard, health care going down the pan and when people are struggling for work the petrol prices start to rocket.

Re: Petrol Tuts!

Yep, my mistake.
To think when I passed my test just over 3 years ago petrol was just £0.86p. It had got that far from the price of £0.56 when I was 10 y/o and now we've had MORE than that increase in just 3 years.

Re: Petrol Tuts!

So,.... what is going to happen?  "Knock-on" effect..... more people will do LESS MILEAGE, therefore using LESS fuel, therefore LESS revenue for the government, and LESS profit for the petrol companies... Ooops.... something wrong there,..... with a bit of luck.  Roll eyes
however, I also live in a dream world  Grin

Re: Petrol Tuts!

There may be a very short drop in usage but if previous increases are anything to go by then we all have very short memories and we will continue to use fuel to go about our business.

Re: Petrol Tuts!

artmo are you mad?
When fuel is £5 per litre, all the employers are cutting wages left right and centre, the price of a loaf of bread quadruples (to cover haulage etc) and every other product on your grocery list does the same, how on earth are you going to fuel your car?

No he's not - I remember the fuel protests from about 10 years ago when the price hit £1/ltr.  It dropped down then as a result, but slowly crept back up and nobody did anything to protest the 2nd time.
