Peter Kay's Car Share to make surprise return

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42034344

Peter Kay announced the new episodes on Children In Need on BBC One on Friday.

He's announced a "special finale" to show what happened between John, his character, and Sian Gibson's Kayleigh.

The second series ended in May with Kayleigh declaring her love for John but walking out of his car and his life when he refused to say how he felt.

Re: Peter Kay ... back on Tour after 8 year absence

I watched a few minutes of the first episode of this and didn't even find it funny, so changed channel and never bothered about it again. Each to their own I know, but from what I saw it wasn't as good as his other stuff.

I decide quite a lot on what I'll watch based on the trailers, if these are funny or interesting then I'll take the time to watch an episode. For me a prime example of this approach is W1A, utter rubbish, but Upstart Crow I won't miss an episode.

I enjoyed Car Share. I particularly remember the dog walking incident and the monkey on the roof.

Re: Peter Kay ... back on Tour after 8 year absence

A great comedian, but beyond his time? Car Share for example is now starting to stretch a bit thin in my opinion.

I think so, and cannot see him lasting as long as the likes of Bill Connolly,Tommy Copper, and certainly not Ken Dodd. Mind you, some of the old timers like Arthur Askey went well beyond their sell-by date.

Humour can be a funny thing that's for sure.

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.
