The Ministry of Defence will be going to court today to attempt to cut payouts to our injured soldiers.

How disgraceful is this? These boys have put their lives on the line for us and some have even been killed. They deserve the payments in full.

MoD hav been in denial for years - they still insist that the Chinook crash at Mull of Kintyre was pilot error when practically everyone else says it wasn't

It's always difficult to extract the truth from emotive issues, especially given the "angles" that the media put on it.
It's obviously distressing for those involved, but my reading is that the MOD (and others involved) are actually trying to get clarity on what the "rules" mean, and this inevitably means escalating to the highest authority where there are differing opinions.
One hopes that, whatever the outcome, the rules are then clarified or changed if necessary to produce a fair outcome.

Mal. Possibly worried about another claim against them in the courts.
