The response from Nadine Dorries just proves how stupid some people are. She is not that old, and must have experienced the computer/web for quite a lot of her adult life, yet she makes ridiculous statements like those in the article. The worrying thing is, these people are making laws and decisions that rule our lives
I don't share passwords with anyone other than my other half, and even then only the ones where we have joint interests.

Want to test how secure your passwords are ?
Just post them here in the forum and I will tell you, there is a small charge for this service but you need not do anything as I will automatically deduct the sum from your bank account

I would imagine that most MP's share their passwords.
How else would their staff do all their work for them?

Well if you wanted a really secure one, generate a GUID.
A site like this will do it for you:
Or if you have SQL installed, the good old:
SELECT newid()
So mine is:
893d5a04-5c53-405d-a52d-75adcc6df3e8
P.S. No it isn't, I was joking. Mind you you'd need a good memory and if you could remember it typing that in ad vertiam would get on your nerves.

A recent problem for me is that the unintelligible and hard to remember ones are very difficult to type in via the titchy virtual keyboard on a mobile or tablet. The "several unconnected words" idea is good unless it's one of those sites which insists on having numerals and/or symbols.
It will be nice when machines check you out via camera/touchpad/voice recognition so you don't need to remember a thing.

Just been reading this on BBC
Sharing passwords is not a breach of the UK's Data Protection Act.
But the law says that "appropriate" security measures concerning personal data must be in place and that those with access must be properly vetted.

Properly vetted? hmmm, I'll book an appointment for wifey at the local vets'r'us. Then have her checked out to see if she passes enhanced dbs/crb,
Growing old is inevitable...But growing up is optional.

I've said this before, but you used to be able to have Password01.
It is what I use for some sites I don't care about - so now, as their validation checks have improved they just tell you off for having the word password as a password.
