Parcel Handling

Earlier this week I visited my local Royal Mail sorting office to pick up a parcel.
There was a small queue and the gentleman at the front handed over his card and some ID to collect his parcel.
After confirming his postcode he asked the man behind the counter if he had gloves to put on when fetching the parcel as the lady recipient was very particular about who handled her mail.
The customer was asked rhetorically if he would like to come through and pick up the package himself.
The package was then fetched and handed over.....with bare hands.

Re: Parcel Handling

What nonsense - I wonder how many people handled the package on route. Well done to the RM worker.

Re: Parcel Handling

What got me is that if the guy was collecting it for a woman with Mysophobia he could open the package and let her carefully take out the contents.
She would then not get contaminated by the packaging.

Re: Parcel Handling

Or maybe the man behind the counter had filthy hands.
Or warty ones.
