PN and Stretch Breaks

Currently in the IT industry 34% of all work related accidents are RSI related I'm wondering just how many people are actually using there stretch break to actually stretch ?
Does Plus Net make its employees aware of RSI and show them the correct stretches to do during there stretch break ?
And just how many of you are actually doing it ?
Think about it folks as I'm off with a wrist strain at the moment and I'm guilty of not doing the proper stretches.

Re: PN and Stretch Breaks

I'm likely to be wheelchair bound by 40 so RSI is the least of my worries Smiley
I do go for regular walks however, mainly as part of my job.

Re: PN and Stretch Breaks

Not doing what Kelly? The Ciggie breaks or the streches!?!
We have WorkRave at work, which I use some of the time.  I'm not usually too bad at having a break and doing some streches, but there is much room for improvement!

Re: PN and Stretch Breaks

Fairly certain Kelly is referring to not being guilty of doing stretches as unless I've missed something over the last 2 years, he doesn't smoke.

Sorry, I read that and had visions of glowsticks, fluorescent jackets and hard house music....

That actually looks quite amusing.  To have a computer tell me it's time for me to take a break would tickle me somewhat.

Re: PN and Stretch Breaks

Who needs stretch breaks when you have an aeron?
Yes, I would quite happily pay £400 to have one of these at home.

I don't think a chair's going to do much for potential RSI on digits.

Re: PN and Stretch Breaks

Not really taking stretch breaks when I do book breaks as such, but I do walk around and play a bit of pool or table football.
To be honest, I am more likely to get RSI at home when I am sat down with my laptop for hours on end.  Undecided
