PN Service Status Email

I've noticed that PN send rather a lot of these out and when they do I usually get quite a lot on the same day.
Today I got this:

Tomorrow morning, 1st May.
What does it affect?
Our online signup process.

Moving our signup process on to a different server.
Am I likely to notice the work?
No.

Is there anything else I need to know?
No.

I can't help but wonder why I'm being told about things that won't affect me? Must I be informed of everything that is non-customer-noticeable? Could we have a choice as to what emails we are sent when we sign up? - Being able to choose from internal and external (possibly affected) notices would be a nice touch.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Does seem rather pointless...... like......................

It is raining in South Africa.... and will continue for the next two weeks......
Will I notice any difference ?

The idea is that it shouldn't be impacting, but it affects quite a major system so to be careful we post just in case something does go wrong.

So I guess from that reply what your saying is that we can't choose between everything and important stuff only?
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

There are a lot of things we can't choose if we want to see the interesting/important stuff.
I suffered travelling on British Hell for 50 years. But If I want to visit this forum I have to put up with constantly being reminded about it .
