Strange.......  "The car was discovered during a routine weed check......"

DVLA reports  " The car was probably dumped 20 years ago".....

What kind of a routine weed check are they doing....... ?  Once every twenty years  ? ?    Cheesy

Well, it's definitely a ford scrapi now, though a miracle it hadn't rusted away like its brethren of the era, guess that lake is low on oxygen to cause ferric oxide to form, kind of ironic really, to preserve a car that suffered rust in a damp country, store it underwater... Grin

You'd be surprised.. in government circles they have all sorts of important descriptions for things they can't be bothered with. When I worked in one dept moons ago staff that had worked there for over 10 years were still calling themselves 'new'.
Then you have JSA claims.. if you reclaim within 3 months (i think) they call it a rapid reclaim. Whats so rapid about that? - it could have been months ago (eg 2.5) since the last claim.
Then we have emergency tax... What emergency is that then? - The government isn't going to go broke over someone starting a new job and not paying enough tax..
It's pathetic... and then we have the very real threat of ebola... and just two isolated treatment beds for the whole country  Crazy

It's 26 weeks and not why it's known as a rapid reclaim...

It doesn't matter why it's known as a rapid reclaim.. it's what they called it that is stupid. A reclaim yes fair enough.. rapid? er... no.

Sigh.
Your missing the point, its not rapid because of the time passed since a previous claim
It's 'rapid' compared to a new claim because its processed within a matter of days (and saves the rigmarole of filling in the long new claim form)

It was probably reported to Police Scotland as soon as it went in.
They just haven't got around to checking it yet.

I think that car is taking "off-road" a little too literally !....  Cheesy
(and all that stuff about JSA claims, is going way off topic for no particular reason...  Roll eyes )
