Our TV Licence Money

A FOI request by LBC has uncovered that in the past 6 years the BBC has paid £22M in compromise agreement deals (confidentiality agreements). Many included gagging orders.
The highest individual payment was £600,000.
This is licence payers money and could have been used for programmes.  Fortunately the newly appointed DG is already taking steps to deal this this proble.

Not as bad as the Saga of ERT
O.T.:- What would resolve the Greek Broadcasting issue is to initiate a 'Licence fee' similar to the UK.

Now I know why the last series of Dr Who was spread across two years half way through the series!
