Oops.

Oops, stuck in the middle.

Whilst I sympathize with the Captain of the Evergreen container ship stuck in the Suez canal when are they going to release her name... and why was she trying to do a three point turn?

Once upon a time this would have been our problem.

At least now we can have a good laugh.

Re: Oops.

There's a suggestion it could be there for weeks.

That is an expensive situation.

Re: Oops.

@shutter

I never said it was named Evergreen, only that it was the Evergreen container ship, and much like calling the Titanic the White Star liner. It was not meant to be news either, just a bit of a joke. 🙂

I thought the joke was in the assumption that the 'driver' was a 'she'.

Re: Oops.

@Jonpe  Ships have always been referred to as the "female" gender....  because they can be hard work, need a lot of attention, and not easy to control, sometimes ! ! !     Shocked

( well, that`s my take on it ! ! ) .....  Cheesy

I 'got' the joke in the OP which @Jonpe has pointed out, but just for once I was being PC in not 'thanking' it.  Wink  Cheesy

Re: Oops.

Well I know it is not funny, but I'd better not be sarcastic and make a joke about women drivers.
I will upset people on here if I did.

I was sitting in my car waiting for someone in the car park of the Doctors surgery about an hour ago ... it seems there must have been quite a few gusts of wind judging by some of the parking efforts I observed!  Roll_eyes  Cheesy

Re: Oops.

@shutter

Don't you mean 'gust of wind'?

Maybe the Captain (or the Pilot that should have been on board) was head down on a mobile phone texting.
