They are getting a loan to pay off their dept.

Surely then they will take out another loan to pay off the loan

Re: Only the Irish would do this

given the story of the $100 dollar bill that went the rounds paying off debts, it looks like a smart move.

You know thats a point I'd like to comment on.
Whenever us little people are in trouble the only advice and help we get is "Go see the CAB".
Whenever its the banks or fellow important people in trouble its "Sheesh your in a mess there pal, here, have some cash because clearly you're gonna go down the pan without it".
So apparently those with families, children etc are not important but individuals up the top who have screwed up after taking the mick with their bonus's etc are bailed out with our cash.
Personally I still believe the Labour party should be held financially responsible for the mess they've brought to our once great country. Let them replay the £Billions they spent, perhaps then they'll understand what hard work and graft and nasty bosses are really all about. We could watch Greedy Gordon have to make a budget for himself and his family and we could send him to the CAB... great idea isn't it?
If Cameron does read this forum it would certainly be interesting to hear his views..
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Obviously if you or I go bust very few people are affected but if a country goes bust everyone there is affected  Cry
My daughter was a CAB advisor for a while and she saw loads of people who tried to borrow themselves out of debt and found that, surprise surprise, it doesn't often work.
To get out of, and stay out of, debt requires real discipline and can be painful at times.
