I Do a fair bit of photography and some months back there was a lot of criticism posted on Photography websites of the Police who were preventing or getting people to delete photographs of the Houses of Parliament.
This video demonstrates the message has not got across to everyone.
Several websites now have cards which photographers can now print out and hand to anyone who questions their right to take photographs of a public place.

Quote My reply to him was “although there is nothing in the law which prevents me from taking pictures of anyone I can assure you I’m only taking pictures of the building and if people happen to be in the shot then that cannot be helped.”
Make you wonder why Google and others pixelate their pictures when they have not got permission from the person to publish.

Surprising that Lakenheath USAF Fighter base has a public car park for taking photo's at the end of the main runway
Certain wildlife is prohibited without a licence
Bank notes
Police can not stop you, but can warn you under the Terroism act of 2000
Dont go to far - Harassment and invasion of privicy is not a good idea, but not illegal
Certain places photography is not allowed, Trafalger Square, Parliament Square and the Royal Parks

and from the Royal Parks website
Quote Where can't I take photographs?
You need permission to take pictures in Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square if they are for commercial purposes (the permission is expensive). There are also some military sites where photography is banned, but these are well signed.
Quote • The Royal Parks supports amateur and student photographers taking photographs for a private portfolio, educational coursework or other non-commercial use. It is necessary to apply for permission to use images of any of The Royal Parks for commercial purposes.

This is intended to provide a short UK guide to the main legal restrictions on the right to take photographs and the right to publish photographs that have been taken.
The guide was written by Linda Macpherson LL.B, Dip. L.P., LL.M is a freelance legal consultant specialising in Media Law and Intellectual Property Law. She is also a part-time law lecturer and has presented seminars on law for photographers.
Just printed off my copy, now to laminate it, so much on it you might be able to re fomat to 4 A5, my original resuma is on one double sided A6
