On the fiddle

This comes as no surprise but some MP's are still on the fiddle by renting out their own property which is near the House of commons and then renting a second property which is charged to the tax payer.
And then they wonder why the percentage of those voting gets lower each year.

Re: On the fiddle

What you have to bear in mind is that the basic MPs salary is very low so it needs to be supplemented somehow....
... hang on a minute these bunch of 'thieving basket cases' get paid a heck of a lot more than I do (and the vast majority of those they apparently represent).

Re: On the fiddle

What you mean is it should be low in order that they have a greater understanding of the people over which they dictate policy.

Re: On the fiddle

They can hardly understand the 'average person' when they live in a completely different world.
They are supposed to represent to majority and are, after all, elected by us to serve and represent (NOT to dictate and look down upon).
The ones from the 'party of the people' are no better then the 'toffs party' (or their friends in the 'not too sure party') - as soon as they gain power, privelage and money they pretty much all start to abuse it.

You just have to look at her in the jungle. She thinks it's a great opportunity to air her views. While most working people see it as an insight into how MP's view their jobs.
