Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY
On my SKY+HD box
450 plus for SD 24 channels
474 plus for HD 24 channels
All the covered sports are shown (all of them), for 7 days, and you can set reminders or recordings now !
You can also favourite them
I don't have a HD subscription.
If you do, the channels groups may be the other way round.

Just the bog standard Entertainment package, which expires Friday !!
Then I'm on Freesat.
"Other Channels" now renamed too.
10.876 V, 22.000, 5/6
10.921 H, 22.000, 5/6
11.469 H, 27.500, 5/6

Freesat  to come.
Freeview not fully updated yet, but has been showing holding Olympics video (I'm on Freeview Lite)

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

My Panasonic TV updated itself about a week ago and now has the BBC sport application on it. They had several channels running live for the golf.

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

I've had the channels on Freesat for about a week now I think.
Admittedly I'm using a DVB-S2 card in a Linux box and not a set top box.
As an aside, do we still call them set top boxes? Surely they don't balance well on top of flatscreens  Grin

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

I've got 6 boxes under my main TV !!
In a unit, in two banks.
With Pepsi bottle caps stuck  on as spacers for ventilation.
The TV has 4 HDMI ports, and 3 SCART inputs, a lot of very new ones seem restricted as to ports provided.

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

I have a Sky+HD box but don't subscribe to HD. I have channels 450 to 474 (and the HD 475 etc) showing the BBC as the OP pic, but not what is showing on a particular channel as shown in the pic. I don't subscribe to Sky Sports and only usually get a limited collection; EuroSport for instance.
I could either subscribe to Sky HD (been considering this anyway for a while)
or Subscribe to Sky Sports (never been particularly interested in doing this)
Would either solve my problem?

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

I posted the pic off screen, off my SKY+HD box.
I don't have a HD subscription either, just the FTA HD channels. (1-5 & BBC HD)
You don't need either of the two options you mention.
Note the day of the week, Sunday, there are no details until  Friday, mostly.
If that's not it, you could try a box reboot, unplug from the mains, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in again.
See if that brings up the details.
Here's some other channels I photo'd at the same time.

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

Umm! that's interesting, while waiting for a reply I called Sky (I don't need to subscribe to anything more to receive as shown on the OP pic) But though, my contact rep was somewhat surprised at my description, as the channel listing is, as you say available, but the Sky per channel content listing is not being released until this Wednesday 25/07. He was quite intrigued to know some was already available.
Are you in a specific part of the UK or a test area?

Re: Olympics EPG now up & running on SKY

Officially not released until Wednesday...
SKY has two national feeds, North & South.
I am in the North.
I have successfully set reminders for around 20 Olympic events on the EPG. HD 474 plus.

Ah! I'm in the south, perhaps that accounts for it. Will check again on Wednesday.
PS. tried power off reset, but it didn't change anything.

All BBC channels are subscription free no matter which source it's coming from, Internet, Satellite or aerial.
