Seems likes PN is getting an investigation.
"Budget ISP PlusNet has put itself forward to be probed by the telecoms regulator after openly admitting to Ofcom that some of their customers might have been charged for a phone and broadband service that “was not live for a period of time between 2008 and 2015“.“.

On the positive side it may spur Plusnet into reviewing its much delayed introduction of a new billing system.

Personally I've never had a billing problem in nearly 8 years with Plusnet but the thought of billing getting like what's happened to this forum is frightening.

Ditto.. we've not had any billing errors (other than them raising the price but disguising it in an advertising style email) but the thought of a new improved system... OMG.. not good.
Plusnets technical abilities seem to be on the slide again. They've gone from the once geek squad type to the now huge call centre type that can't seem to get anything right.

I've never understood why the reoccurring complaints here about bills that continue long after the customer has left plusnet.
And the stock answers are always the same "we will refund as soon as the payment has gone through" and the old chestnut of "it's BT's fault".
It was recently on the news about the US nuclear weapons force still using a 1970s computer system with 8" floppies. I wonder what size floppies plusnets floppy billing system uses?
