OMG I just found SWYPE!!!

Hey gang..
New phone.. android 2.3 (lol yes i know thats old) but it has this really cool thing called swype on it! How incredible is that?! - Just drag your finger around the screen and it knows what you're trying to type! This thing is wicked!
Oddly my partners HTC desire that has v4+ doesn't have it  Crazy
Texting will never be the same again - I've just sent TONS of em lol - never written text messages so quickly!
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

If you think Swype is good, download swiftkey all that swype has and then some!

Re: OMG I just found SWYPE!!!

I hate 'gesture typing' with a passion (its been included in the stock Android keyboard since 4.2 IIRC, btw)
Minuum is my keyboard of choice.

Re: OMG I just found SWYPE!!!

As we all know, I have also recently discovered SWYPE Smiley
Hold the respected key down & it will give you alternate character(s) (Handy for typing passwords)
For Example:
Pressing& holding  the individual QUERTYUIOP can give you '1234567890 & other sets of character(s)
Go on, try it, I dare you not to Tongue
Yes I agree typing will not be the same again (wont look forward) to using one without SWYPE from now on Tongue
Seems Nuance does Paid & Free trial versions (although mine is a Stock  App)
Paid version is £0.59p
Free trial version
There are others available, like the free one from Sandersbanley

Agree with Launton, SwiftKey is superior to Swype

Re: OMG I just found SWYPE!!!

Google Keyboard does pretty much what Swype does; I'm not sure why it isn't the default Android keyboard.  I tried Google Keyboard and Swype for a bit and ended up with Google Keyboard: partly because it's free and partly because there was a critical (to me) key that Swype replaced with a silly smiley.  Can't remember if I tried SwiftKey.

Re: OMG I just found SWYPE!!!

Hasn't got gesture support but I'm using Fleksy at the moment. That's alongside SwiftKey and Google Keyboard which I also have installed.
