Not so Special

Why that ‘special’ on the menu is a recipe for taking your cash:
Revealed, the cynical tricks restaurants use to make you spend more

After such rumours in the past, we always avoid the "Specials" in Restaurants.
And... we are always very nice to the Staff, if you know what I mean !!
As it is, locally, when we find a good Restaurant, we will frequent it more often. As you do.

Re: Not so Special

I dislike eating out in restaurants - you never know if they've spat in your food etc. Trusting total strangers to cook you decent food.. and I'll bet some of them hate the job and are quite resentful.
I also never make a complaint about the food unless I'm finished eating. Not that I've ever needed to complain but thats my thinking - just in case.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: Not so Special

I doubt if that happens very often. On that basis you'd have to think twice about buying food from anywhere.
I never worry about specials or what the waitress/waiter recommends, I work my way up the menu from the cheapest till I find something I like Cool
