Re: Nokia 3310

I've still got my original 3310, unmarked and in perfect working order but who on earth would want one now?

@custos Just like old clothing  ( looking at you flared jeans ) these things come back in fashion, or like this phone get a reboot. I will be buying one. I think festival goers will also think about it.

Re: Nokia 3310

My first mobile was a Motorola M3788, on One2one (before it was swallowed up and my priceplan ruined by t-mobile), basic, boring, not much of a step up from the older stuff with flip-down fronts, but the 3310 was a massive lead, I mean, customisable ringtones and no poke-you-in-the-eye stubby aerial, it was great, and still works today on GiffGaff.... Re: Nokia 3310

The old 3310 / 3330 are still very popular.

I have no trouble flogging every one I can get hold of.

The hardest thing is stripping and cleaning them and then finding a decent li-ion battery to replace the definitely dead nicad original.

Cant see any attraction in the supposedly new version.

Re: Nokia 3310

Slightly off track, has the plug finally been pulled on Orange sims?

It's just that I had several that were working fine last week now all are showing as inactive.

Re: Nokia 3310

Given Orange is now buddies with T-mobile making up EE, then it's no surprise that older SIMs are being cut off for being old SIMs, I'm sure they'll have "an amazing deal" to sell you when you replace the SIM with a new one which probably won't work in an old phone therefore you have to buy a new one...
