Don't worry..
The traditional Bubble Wrap will still continue to be sold.
My stock of Bubble Wrap supplied by Sellers of items I have purchased will now be locked away when I return !!

Re: No more POP !

A serious question - yes really
How will this protect fragile items from a sharp cornered heavy object resting on them as the bubbles will collapse and transfer the local pressure to the content
Note we buy bubble wrap in rolls from Staples

Re: No more POP !

I was given some of the new stuff at the weekend - it was very frustrating until I checked the new design.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: No more POP !

The new iBubble is just like a gigantic Ice Cube maker bag !!
A few years back a relative bought a giant roll of Commercial Bubble Wrap for their business.......
About 4ft wide by several (hundred!) yards long, or so it looks like.
Years later, it still seems as large !

Re: No more POP !

After watching the vid I'm left wondering - is this new?
I had bubble wrap in columns ages ago.
Rubbish stuff as you can't really cut it to size except in one direction or it just deflates.

Re: No more POP !

So you need to inflate it too? Then there must also be a way of sealing it where you have cut it. Seems like a lot of trouble to me.
I remember years ago that there were plans to start using popcorn to wrap delicate items rather than the polystyrene 'worms' . The idea being that it was biodegradable and cheap. I only received one item packaged this way, along with a note telling me to not eat it but use it as animal feed or compost it. That seemed like a good idea to me. Smiley
