At least it's better than using the 'chat' service manned by people who don't want to "do you proud".

Mind you, they have a superb excuse book that I'd be proud to own...lol

Started that thread in 2009 ...  ... and the constant voice was    " give us time and we`ll get there"...

 

Well , obviously... they need a bit more time...  so ....be patient... and "We`ll get there..... "

Whilst I don't begrudge highly qualified and skilled customer service people a job, surely the problem with long waiting times should be tackled by making the product so good that fewer customers need to call.

2019 will indeed be a landmark year:  Brexit and the 10th anniversary of shutter's post.  Perhaps James, the first person to respond to it, could be invited to cut a ribbon or something if he is still around; after 21,000 posts he might be suffering severe keyboard cramp.
