Re: Night shift .?

If my back is playing up I can be up at all times, just can't get any sleep when it's bad.

Re: Night shift .?

I think the only period in which I've not posted is between 4 & 5am
This morning I awoke abruptly just after 5am and couldn't get back to sleep and that's when I read about Lauren Bacall.

Night shift or insomnia ? Smiley

It's often me !!!
Though usually 1 am to 3 am....
As mentioned before, I have Friends, Family & Businesses abroad, and what is overnight here, is not there !
It's the start of a working day in Hong Kong, and towards the end of a working day in Florida & San Francisco !
So with myself being the constant, it is an ideal time to Skype & Phone staff and family abroad.
I usually get a daily report from each business.
And in between calls, what better way to pass time than to view Chit Chat ?

Having previously worked in Outside Broadcast TV, including Breakfast TV for many years, I am used to being up, working or travelling overnight all over the Country.
And of course my mind is still active at that time of the day, nice & peaceful with no UK interruptions.
And then off to bed.... zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Re: Night shift .?

Not sure if I should be envious of some of you, can't sleep ?
My problem is the opposite I can't stay awake.
The less I do during the day the more tired I am.

Re: Night shift .?

I do often have an afternoon nap, as the day catches up with me, and to prepare for the night-time.

Re: Night shift .?

@journeys, I think most people will now live in a 'street-light' free zone.  here in Essex our lights now all go out at Midnight. They don't come on again during the summer but I believe that they will come on again at 5am in the winter.
A lot of people had concerns when the scheme was started but it hasn't caused any real problems.
Also a big saving on our council tax as smaller electricity bills for the council to pay Smiley
