Newzbin shut down!

Looks like the popular Usenet indexing site newzbin.com has finally been taken offline courtesy of the MPA. Have also noticed that some of the alternative sites now appear to be 'invite only' Sad

Re: Newzbin shut down!

After the court case I think it was inevitable. They were doing more than just creating nzb's with reviews etc, just glad I didn't get my invite till after the case! (I didn't join went with a FREE one which does most of what I want)

Would be interested in what your implying there?
Regarding the alternatives, I'm currently using nzbs.org however I noticed they went 'invite only' shortly after the demise of newzbin. Coincidence?

Nothing more than what I heard of the trial, they were <apparently> doing more than just having a list of nzb's to d/l, as I said I wasn't a member so don't know.
I also use nbzs.og but find they miss a lot of the uk groups. So still use newbsin to d/l headers
