Hi,
I've an engineer coming on a fortnight to setup my phone service. I don't have a phone line in my room(I live in staff accommodation at a hotel I work at), will he install a phoneline? I'm getting an 18mnth fibre broadband package with a phoneline but obv no phone..😏. I know how stupid this question seems but can someone tell me wether he'll be installing a phoneline in my room please ?

Generally you need the permission of the building owner to install a telecoms line.
Some buildings have telephone wiring pre-installed in the building and the engineer will connect the incoming line to a "frame" in the basement then cross connect to the wires leading to your room.
If the contract is with PlusNet it is probably a good thing to mention that it is a hotel to PN Customer Support
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Hi AlaricAdir,
I don't live in the hotel, it's a separate house for livein staff. It has phonelines already as most staff have wifi on the building, so do u think connection to a 'frame' is the likely action (&thnx for ur reply😉)
