New ISP speed rules

Tomorrow we see the  first day of May and it will be an important month for broadband providers in the United Kingdom, not least because a new rule will be enforced, which requires them to start promoting “average speeds” (a median measured at peak time – 8pm to 10pm) for their public packages.

Re: New ISP speed rules

Won't this depend what is an 'average speed'? And who's to say what an average speed is when so many companies have differing speeds anyway.?

A float tip is pleasing in its appearance and even more pleasing in its disappearance.

Re: New ISP speed rules

Some honesty at last. Days are gone when service providers can get away with openly misleading claims, but what took the government so long before this challenging this  charade?

I know where I am, I've been lost here before.
