Re: New Guinness World Record

Well I'm not sure this is true for Jameseh but from context I suspect it is.
More than a decade ago (!) when I was in secondary school, there was an advert for Dime bars starring Harry Enfield in which he played a rather dumb yokel-type character who would rather eat an armadillo than a Dime bar (crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside! Armadilloes!) and as such, saying 'Dime bar' at someone, often repeatedly, made it clear that you thought they or what they were doing was stupid.

I remember doing that exact same when I was at school!
(You can tell we're all 30-ish).
Anyone remember "That bloke's a nutter, oi nutter"?

Re: New Guinness World Record

Speaking of old ads, can anyone remember the Heinz Beans advert that featured Maggie Thatcher?  It was when they were doing" the grow up to be what you want to be with Heinz Beans".
They had a spoiled wee girl named Maggie Thatcher, and the mum asks her, what she wants to be when she grows up? Maggie replies, I want to be Prime Minister, and the mum takes away her plate of beans  Grin
I only seen the ad twice when I was young, before they removed it for obvious political reasons.

"Got any lemonade?"
"If yer want."
"Milk? Eeeeurgh!"
"It's what Ian Rush drinks!"
"Ian Rush?"
"Yeh. An' he said, if I don't drink lots o' milk, when I grow up I'll only be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley!"
"Accrington Stanley? Who are they?"
"Exactly... nah, gerroff!"
"Gimme some!"
"GERROFF!"

Not only recalled word for word, but even typed in the correct accent.
