Another very interesting programme last night. I was surprised how young the crew was, especially some of the officers. The female captain looked very young but had full control of the ship.

H.M.S. QUEEN ELIZABETH returns to Portsmouth on Monday .... E.T.A. 12:30 . at "The NAB TOWER"... then transit into Portsmouth Dockyard. by 13:30

How long is she there  for, @shutter? I'm due in Brighton on the 20th, and Portsmouth is on my 'visit list' - providing the weather is kind.Smiley

Dunno, exactly... but... from experience.. I expect she will not sail again, until the new year.... she will need to have some maintenance work done... odd things that jolly jack can`t do... so the dockyard mateys will be employed... maybe some tweeking of equipment/machinery... etc... and of course... jolly jack wil be looking forward to christmas with the families...so leave to be taken in two watches.... and then back to sea for more trials and exercises. probably in the New Year.

Confirmation of my last post ..... from the linky...

 

HMS Queen Elizabeth will remain in Portsmouth during the early part of 2019 undergoing maintenance.
