MythTV

Is anyone out their using MythTV ?
I have just set up a "proof of concept" machine using Mythdora and a hauppauge PVR-250.
A part from the fact that I have no TV aerial so can only get one channel, and very snowy. And with not sound card, so no audio.
I have got it up and running.
But I am looking for further advise on which DVB cards work best.

Re: MythTV

Hi chilly,
There was an article on just this subject in October PCW magazine. Along with the usual simple what, where and why bits I did notice they suggested the Hauppauge Nova-T PCI card was the best and worked well with Mythtv.
They also suggested the web site www.video4linux.net has a very good list of compatible tuners. A couple of other sites mentioned are http://ivtvdriver.org for Linux tuner information and www.linuxtv.org.
Any good?
Regards, P.

Re: MythTV

PCW magazine was the inspiration.
All of the details on the DVB cards gets a little bewildering, and its not helped by manufactures sell multiple cards under the same model numbers.
Its easy to find out about problems with certain cards, but a more definitive "working" list seam a little harder to find.
