More DIY Dad

Daughters washing machine crashed, no longer working, but washing stuck inside.

Short of getting the crowbar out (and yes, I do have one) does anybody know how to override that automatic door lock. Machine is now empty of water.

PS. I did warn her this might happen, but what do Dad's know eh... other than how to get that door open!

Simple is as simple does, will give it a try.

Not to save the machine mind as by the sound if things it's knackerd, but will find out soon enough on Monday!

I've not checked the Google link provided, but to open my washer is simplicity itself.  There is a small flap on the front which provides access to the pump filter, which also conceals a small hidden tab which when pulled downwards releases the door.  Said tab is not visible, but requires a finger and thumb to be inserted upwards to feel for it just behind the front panel, so unless you know it's there ...  Roll_eyes
