Not wishing to start a fight, but another post has prompted me to think about this, so it's your fault @Strat
Being an Ulsterman, my natural pronunciation of the above product is McAfee with the emphasis on last syllable, but I hear so many others pronounce it McAfee, with the emphasis on the second syllable. Is there a definitive pronunciation?
I haven't looked at it since - it's probably (hopefully) changed - but when I had McAfee on my first PC many years ago I pronounced it 'diabolical'.

I don't care how it's pronounced personally but ee for me. What i do care about is that it gets bundled with every new PC / laptop out there and it's the worst of the worst when it comes to AV software.

I honestly can't remember what was on my first machine, but my second (and last) desktop came with AVG, and my original laptop was McAfee - but not for very long. I hated it so much I got my works IT to zap it, and replaced with AVG.
I used AVG way back in W95 days.... then it started to get bloated and complicated... so changed to AVAST or AVIRA both of them worked very well, and not too bloated...
Now, of course, I am using Linux........
