Mastermind

If you were a contestant on Mastermind what would your specialist subject be?

I'd have to choose The 13amp plug from 1965 to 1970... and hope for the best. 😋

@gleneagles

The future you say, how about "how many months will there be in the 2021 calendar?"  😂

@shutter

In all seriousness I bet 100% of the audience would not say three!

@198kHz

Why so negative?

Re: Mastermind

All these negative comments have brought the thread down to earth with a bang!

Edit:  @Minivanman plugged that word before I'd seen it!

Re: Mastermind

How about what specialist subjects you would like contestants to have?

MP's - specialist subject "common sense"

In all fairness there are quite a lot of people in the public eye who would do really badly with that subject.

In the current situation that would make everyone switch off.

Re: Mastermind

MP's and common sense would not be a specialist subject, that (or the lack of it) would come under general knowledge. Far better maybe would be "You have two minutes on your chosen subject of 'how to fiddle your expenses claim"

Question one: "You are no longer an MP, but can you still claim £2,499 for a 42in plasma television"

Err.... it's worth a try.

Re: Mastermind

In keeping with the current thread, are we talking direct questions or alternating questions?

I think it was Magnus Magnusson who said that most contestants who did badly, did so due to poor general knowledge.

Oh they knew the answers @Jonpe and to paraphrase Eric Morecambe, they just asked the wrong questions. 😀

Or you are a MP but why were you still drinking in the commons bar after 10 pm during the current restrictions....

Guess that would be answered with a....’pass’
