Marmite... Love it, or Hate it ?

Personally, I love the stuff.
Having to watch my sugar intake.
Delicious on Crackers.
When I travel abroad, I always take a few jars, for Friends & Family.

Here's someone else who loves Marmite...

Re: Marmite... Love it, or Hate it ?

I don't mind it as long as it's spread thinly. Any thicker and it becomes vile.
Unfortunately though Pluscom I'm also having to be very careful what I eat. Seems like the NHS have left me with other problems as I'm now having my liver and kidneys tested. I don't even drink or smoke  Huh
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Not so keen on Marmite, but I prefer either Tesco's "Yeast Extract" or Bovril spread on buttered toast.

I guess it might be OK as an insect repellant or similar - I will not eat the damned stuff, horrible!

Medium application on hot buttered toast, topped with crunchy peanut butter (OK- smooth if you prefer).
Snack heaven...  Cool

Always loved it for years.

Have you tried making a hot drink with it ?
Just add (quantity to taste) to boiling water to make a mug of 'beefy' soup like drink.  Tongue

Crikey I'd forgotten all about that and we used to break a slice of bread into pieces and drop them in Cool
We used Marmite or oxo cubes.

Loved it since knee high to a grass hopper, I love it on toast and Ryvita crackers.
I don't mind the odd cup/mug of Bovril ether.   Smiley  Wink

Yea, Marmite is good; but have you tried 'Patum Peperuim'?
That is super!
