Man In Tree Irton Scarborough

The sleepy village of Irton near Scarborough has been split when a householder went to court to force North Yorkshire Council to chop down a local landmark tree against other residents wishes.
Apparently the householder has not investigated alternatives to the chop and Scarborough council had originally placed a preservation order on it. I can't see a future in the village for this householder but he may be a developer anyway as there has been a planning application to demolish the bungalow in question and build four houses.
Follow Snoz's blog here as he is living it the tree to prevent the contractors moving in.
