MS Flight Sim grounded.

Seems like they won't be getting the wheels off the ground anytime soon.

maybe they'll hand it over to open source, but then again, pigs might fly.

I thought Al Qieda bought the rights to the software. Wasnt there an argument that they used it to practice 911 and people were saying stop making it for that reason?

I looked at the support FAQs and it mentioned compiling so thought it was a roll your own linux job.
(I've given up on Linux for the time being)

I wonder if they're actually going to enlist an outside developer rather than in-house from now on.
I haven't actually been a great fan of MS Flight sims myself. I've always found them overpriced, too resource intensive and lacking in the realism department.

Never used MS Flight Sim but think I'll download Flightgear as its free.

is that the one where you fly a single engine bi-plane?  if it is, it's the only one i could manage to fly and nearly land without crashing.

There's always the hidden one in Excel 97 to fall back on Grin
