MOAB vs FOAB

So we've all heard about the USAs MOAB - Mother Of All Bombs... the Mother part I think we can all safely assume is short for mother_you_know_what.

So then the ruskies get some publicity for their 4x more powerful version and it gets the nickname FOAB. Now surely.. thats just not sounding right.. Why on earth didn't they just call it the "Big Daddy"... sounds far better... doesn't it?

Am I losing the plot here or have i just dropped a bombshell? Cheesy

I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: MOAB vs FOAB

Actually " GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast"

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: MOAB vs FOAB

That may be.. but the alternative still came around regardless of its official name.

And FOAB sounds so wrong!

Re: MOAB vs FOAB

Just wait for the next one named SOAB , maybe it will catch on like the naming of weather storms. Even better if they are actually using them on something worthwhile.

There was a man called Saddam Hussein who promised The mother of all battles.  I wonder what became of him.
