M1 Roadworks

Can anyone help me with some info, please.
Have to use M1, both ways, between Jn 14 & Jn 38 ( Huddersfield turn) next Sunday.
Anyone update me on current roadwork problems as a while since I've used M1.
Many thanks

Re: M1 Roadworks

Yeah prepare to go slow!! There are 3 lots of roadworks
One is approx 20 miles of 50MPH restriction with avg speed cameras in it.
Another shorter set and finally some around JN34.
I do that stretch a lot when going back oop north.

Re: M1 Roadworks

Probably best checking something like the BBC travel site or something. Not being difficult but thats all anyone else would do and then report back to you. Difference is if you DIY then you get the info quicker Wink
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

I tend to use this as a first shot http://www.highways.gov.uk/traffic/traffic.aspx
If you go to Motorway Traffic Flow you can see it in all its awful glory

Might be worth tuning into Radio Sheffield as you get into range as they regularly update us with traffic problems.

Re: M1 Roadworks

Thanks for the help, guys  Smiley
Won't be looking at internet before I leave but now know where to expect problems.
Clarkson commented on Top Gear, a couple of weeks ago, about 20 miles at 50mph so, for once, he wasn't exaggerating.
