It's as near to civil anarchy as Britain can ever get.
But soon the traffic wardens may strike back, only writing tickets for cars that run on recycled chip oil.

Tough for him I say. If he has a problem with parking rules he should be having a go at the people who make them. It is not fair to have a go at traffic wardens for doing their job properly.

They don't do their job properly and that is why people don't like them or the way they operate.

Sadly many of them don't. Hence why people get peeved off.
I used to work next to the Parking Attendant office as a student (no, I wasn't one) and all that matters to management is targets, how many tickets were being issued and whether that would mean the contractor would keep their contract with the council when it came up for renewal. Some attendants were just interested in doing their job properly, regardless of the quantity of tickets issued.
Given there were bonuses for the ones who issued a high number of tickets, and people who didn't issue enough got dismissed, you can imagine it makes some of them keen to issue as many as possible.
I remember them talking about the attendant who ticketed an ambulance.
That was 12 years ago, and I doubt the stance of council management has changed much since then Roll eyes

Is that gravy or tarmac? Shocked
My sister was told to shift it when she parked outside her own front door to unload her shopping. Lo and behold two minutes later somebody parked in exactly the same spot, with two wheels on the kerb, to go to the newsagents to do his lottery and go and get his hair cut.
The town is crying out for residential parking, but as soon as they see a garden that's bigger than 2ft square the squeeze a soddin holiday home onto it. Angry
