Lovely Evening

What a lovely evening here in Sheffield.
Torrential rain, winds gusting to 33mph and Barometric pressure dropping like a  stone -1.64 mb/hr.
However the temperature is a static and reasonable 8.7 degrees C.

Re: Lovely Evening

At least it doesn't look like it did in the docu-drama "Threads", was a right mess in that film, but the nukes hit and tidied it up a bit... Grin

The Wind & Rain is so heavy here in Derbyshire, Freeview has disappeared, just a blocky signal.
So recordings have failed !!
Freesat is OK though, as is iPlayer..

At least although we are in a Valley, we are in an elevated position, so no likelihood of Floods.
Probably quite a few on the morning News tomorrow though, UK wide.

Mayhem it is Shocked
At least 5 blue wheelie bins blown over during the night.
It's going to take weeks to get them upright and working again.

The area's been cordoned off while a risk assessment can be performed by the council and the fire service.
A cost analysis has been commissioned which could delay the process.

But don't forget there also needs to be a public consultation in there somewhere too.. and then an appeal when that all goes wrong  Cheesy

Re: Lovely Evening

Because my blue wheelie bin was only a quarter full and considering the wind I didn't put it out for emptying.
Now with all the bottles and cans blown onto my front grass the bin is nearly full and needs emptying Angry

Re: Lovely Evening

That was very public spirited of you, strat,  to go around the street/area and collect up all the recyclable materials and put them in your bin....  Cheesy
