Lost in the post

The Ministry of Justice has lost in the post several discs which "by chance" happen to cover investigations into Police activities in three very high profile cases.
How inconvenient...
And it seems the sender doesn't have back-ups...
How inconvenient....
Last time I made data discs they were made from files on a computer, have these been lost as well?
How inconvenient if they have....
However a member of MoJ staff has been suspended, so that's all right then...
This story has been all over news stations most of the day as a headline, the BBC 6 O'clock barely gave it ten seconds.
A very important point is that the anonymity of some Police officers may have been compromised.

I think there is a lot more to come on this story.

Re: Lost in the post

Yes, I rather suspect that tomorrows papers will make rather more of this than the BBC has.
No doubt a high profile member of the MoJ will be wheeled out to dead-pan critics and refuse to explain why such important material was entrusted to the post in the first place.

Re: Lost in the post

Why are they sending discs in the post? Surely they can be sent securely electronically Undecided
