Re: Lift Off

So, what (aside from "a rocket") are, or were, they launching? Satellite? Supplies to the ISS? Huh

You just haven't watched enough launches  Tongue
I think it was the last SpaceX launch which was scrubbed or aborted 3 days in a row, once with only seconds left on the count

That's one of my life regrets...never getting the chance to see one live and personal.

Re: Lift Off

That was an impressive launch; and have been watching the replays from different cameras for last 20 minutes!
Unfortunately the attempt to soft land the first stage on a barge out in the ocean appears to have failed - the rocket reached the barge (an achievement in itself) but hit too hard.

I've seen a few launches over the years. One, close up from Kennedy. Night launches can be seen from all over Florida but as this one launched in glorious sunshine you had to be close to see it clearly.
